Sainik ke Chhole Samosa

This place serves one of the most amazing samosas in Prayagraj  The Samosa here is smashed, chhole is added to it along with some red chutney or ‘sonth’, onions, coriander and some fine ‘sev’ as garnish.

Prayagraj offers a great variety of Chaat which is made of desighee, the ‘aloo tikki’, ‘dahi-sonth ke batashe’, ‘papdi chaat’ the famous “Tamatar chaat” and of course the ‘gol gappe’ have maintained the deliciousness quotient over the years. ‘chaat’ lovers must surely visit Prayagraj as it has a plethora of chaat options. Some of the famous Chaat shops in Prayagraj are:

Nirala Ki Chaat, in Loknath (near the Ghantaghar)
Guruji’s Chaat in Colonel Ganj
Shambhu ki Chaat at Harsh Vardhan Crossing
Santosh’s special Tamatar Chaat in George Town/ Tagore Town

Made of ‘murmura’ or ‘laiya’, this tasty treat was and is still a star attraction of Prayagraj. Going to Civil Lines and not having Churmura is ‘unthinkable’. Churmura sellers can be seen everywhere in Prayagraj. It must not be confused with Bhelpuri, churmura is quite different though the ingredients are very similar.
